What's your favorite type of music?

1. The Giving Tree

The Giving Tree This memorable tattoo is definitely one of the sweetest tattoos inspired by books I have ever seen! I was very young when I first read this book, but I loved it so much that I checked it out of my school library 12 times! I’ve always remembered the innocence and the selflessness that the author gave to a simple tree that kept giving. This tattoo reminds me of the old feelings that I used to get after reading this tear-jerker. Love it!

2. Harry Potter

Harry Potter If you are familiar with the very famous Harry Potter series, then you’ll know exactly what this tattoo signifies. There are tons of interpretations of this tattoo, but this one is great! This tattoo can symbolize many different meanings, like finding your way, or it can just be a fun reminder of why we all love Harry Potter so much!

3. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland The "we're all mad here" quote from Alice in Wonderland has always been one of my favorites. I was never a fan of the Disney movie that played off the original, but the underlying messages were always fun to discover. “We’re all mad here” always reminded me that it’s okay to be weird and different because we're all a little wacky and crazy sometimes. It was a bit scary as a child but as I look back on it, it’s actually quite intriguing!

4. The Lord of the Rings

The Lord of the Rings The Lord of the Rings series has been one of my all-time favorite book series ever! The Fellowship of the Ring has always been my favorite and the inscription on Sauron’s ring has always been somewhat of a mystery to me. But I really love the way the words look anyway! This is definitely a really cool idea if you’re a sci-fi freak like I am!

5. Where the Wild Things Are

Where the Wild Things Are This is another book that I always begged my parents to read to me before bed. Where the Wild Things Are was so exciting for any little kid with a knack for adventure, so seeing this as a creative tattoo really brings back the memories! Although I’m not much of a fan of the movie that depicted the book, I still love the storyline the same as before! And this little guy (more like big guy) has always been my favorite!

6. Where the Sidewalk Ends

Where the Sidewalk Ends I still have this cute book of poems to this day! I used to read it all of the time and it really inspired me to start writing! And how poetic is it to put the cover of a poetry book on your arm? I think I might just have to get this tattoo someday! Its simplicity is so perfect and it is easy to tell that it is representing one of the most fun books of poetry ever! A big thumbs up for this one!

7. The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games I am proud to say that I have always loved The Hunger Games. I still remember the feeling I had after I turned the last page of the final book. These books are absolutely amazing, so it is easy to see why the mockingjay symbol or any of the many quotes in the movie would be so popular as a tattoo! It is perfect for any die-hard fan!

Tattoos inspired by books are some of the coolest and most creative tattoos I have seen. They're classy, sophisticated, and always have an awesome story behind them just waiting to be told. If I were to ever get a tattoo, it would definitely include some literature mixed in! Do you have any tattoos inspired by books? What do they look like?

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

Haha you messed up a little on The Lord of the rings one but I still love it!!!!

There was a fabulous Harry Potter one done with the Deathly Hallows as the "A" in "Always"

Where the sidewalk ends was the theme for my marching band show last year. It was so amazing! I'm in color guard

I love the hunger games and the Harry potter ones!

I've wanted to get the golden snitch for a while

Beau Bokan from Blessthefall has a tattoo of where the sidewalk ends.

DIVERGENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am overly obsessed with Divergent and I think there should be a tattoo about Divergent such as the Dauntless Symbol or the Raven Tattoos tris has.

I've seen that hunger games tattoo done a million times..

I love the last one "May the odds be ever in your favour" :) I'm a sucker for inspirational quotes !!

Sorry about The Lord of the Rings. Looks like some of the photos were changed through editing without the description being changed. We'll have it fixed! Thank you for letting me know!
