If you’re suffering from low self-esteem or if you’re having problems with your confidence levels, I can recommend you some pretty amazing and useful books that boost self-confidence. I always loved reading, so among my favorite things to read are, of course, a lot of self-help books. Since I finished my studies and became a psychotherapist, I had to read even more self-help books in order to be able to recommend the perfect book to my patients. Because a lot of the problems people face are caused by a lack of self-esteem and because a lot of people came to therapy to learn different ways or techniques to increase their self-esteem and self-confidence, that’s how I got to read some pretty amazing books that boost self-confidence.
1 Barton Goldsmith - 100 Ways to Boost Your Self-Confidence
In my opinion, this is one of the best books that boost self-confidence that has ever been written. It’s packed with practical advice, and by reading it you can learn how to believe in yourself and "how to become the kind of person whom others are drawn to believe in," says Marci Shimoff (author of another great book "Happy for No Reason"). It’s also pretty easy to read and really insightful, so I highly recommend this wonderful book.
2 Steven R. Covey - 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
This simply amazing self-help book is considered to be one of the most influential books ever written. It’s such a powerful guide to self-improvement ‘cos it’s so well-written and so easy to read! A lot of people think this book is only good for a business person, but that’s completely false. Everyone can truly benefit from reading this fantastic book in all the areas of their life. Just give it a try and you won’t regret it!
3 Gary Vurnum - Instant Confidence: 92 Tips
I particularly love the motto of this book, which is: "Dramatically Raise Your Confidence And Self-Esteem Almost Instantly! It's Easy And Effortless When You Know How..." The author of this wonderful book is such a great motivator! It really offers you good tips on how to increase your self-confidence and how to improve your self-esteem.
4 Anthony Robbins – Awaken the Giant within
This is one of the most appreciated and sold self-help books out there! It’s such an exceptional guide to improve your self-confidence and increase your self-esteem. It really helped me a lot. This book is really powerful; it’s packed with practical advice and it would be best to read it over a period of time in order to get the best results. Enjoy it!
5 Sam Horn – What’s Holding You Back?
This book is best described as "a must-read for anyone who would like to be more polished, poised, powerful at work, at home, in social settings, at school, and in sports." (Jack Canfield, co-author of "Chicken Soup for the Soul"). By reading this book you can learn how to make a good first impression, how to avoid getting into the comparison trap, and how to never worry again about what you’re saying. I can definitely say that this is one of my all-time favorite books!
6 Brian Roet - the Confidence to Be Yourself
This is another wonderful book that I really love! It’s filled with advice on how to boost your self-confidence and self-respect and on how to improve your self-esteem. The author, Dr Brian Roet, has worked as a psychotherapist for 20 years and is specialized in CBT, which is cognitive-behavioral therapy. This book is definitely worth a shot!

8 Mark Goulston - Get out of Your Own Way
This book is full of powerful practical advice, it’s very easy to understand and it’s quite fun to read. It’s also very refreshing and it’s a good self-help book especially if you’re dealing with depression and anxiety, or even other affective disorders caused by poor self-confidence and by poor self-esteem. This is definitely a self-help book that really helps!
9 Adam Khan – Self-Help Stuff That Works
This really lovely book is so entertaining and so fun to read! It has short chapters which are very enjoyable and easy to apply to our daily lives. This book is really different than most self-help books out there and just like the title says it, it really does work. You can see for yourself and give it a try! I’m pretty sure you won’t regret it.
