My favourite of all time and I wonder why it's not on here is "The Bronze Horseman" by Paulina Simmons. First book in a trilogy and I truly believe the best love story ever written. I'm surprised it wasn't on the list. It's amazing!

The Well of Loneliness by H. Radcliffe Hall. It was written and published in the 1920's about a young well to do woman who gradually realised that she was a lesbian. It was promptly banned ! Many years later it became available in the U.k. It really is a thinly disguised autobiography. I have read it twice over the years and found it very sad and poignant. Great piece of literature !
