Make sure you look for the copy of this book that looks like a journal - it has sweet hand-written style notes written on a range of different things, which is just lovely. This book is about Lennie Walker, who is 17 years old and trying to find her way in life after her sister dies. If you check out any book on this list, make sure it’s 'The Sky Is Everywhere.'

All My Friends Are Superheroes by Andrew Kaufman This is a book you can read easily in one sitting, and one that will leave you smiling. For example, The Perfectionist, whose power is quite simply doing everything perfectly. This is a seriously quirky and lovely novel that you just have to read!
