1

The Harry Potter Series

The Harry Potter Series Of course Harry Potter has to be on a list of books I love because this is probably the first book that I loved completely! Of course, it isn't just one book, but it's hard to choose just one! Harry Potter is full of characters and stories that stick with its readers for years to come. I finished those books many years ago and yet find myself missing them and considering rereading them all the time. Harry Potter created a generation of people who will never forget those stories.

2

Divergent

Divergent Divergent is the first book in a trilogy and unfortunately I haven't read the other two yet, but once I finished this book I was determined to buy and read the other two! I just got the second one, Insurgent, and I can't wait to read it! Like many of the popular books out right now, Divergent is about a dystopian society and a main character that sees the faults in their way of life.

3

Looking for Alaska

Looking for Alaska This book helped send me into the John Green frenzy that I'm in right now. John Green writes in a beautiful way that is guaranteed to make you attached to every character and feel yourself growing close to the story even though you likely won't get the ending you want. By the end of this book I was definitely on the verge of tears. It's a beautifully heartbreaking book that makes you crave more from this amazing author.

4

Bossypants

Bossypants This book made me adore Tina Fey! She dives into not only her life growing up and as an adult, but she talks about broader things such as how hard it is for a woman in the entertainment industry. This doesn't just apply to the entertainment industry though, it's hard for women to break into a lot of male dominated industries and because of that, what Tina Fey did is amazing. She didn't just become kind of successful, she became a HUGE success and household name. This book definitely made her a role model of mine.

5

Paper Towns

Paper Towns Another book by John Green that just had to be on this list! I just finished this book less than a week ago, but I keep thinking about it. This is a great book about how we look at people and how that is a reflection of how we see ourselves. Paper Towns is a great book about self discovery and realizing that other people aren't always what they seem to be. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a new read.

Famous Quotes

Men in general judge more from appearances than from reality. All men have eyes, but few have the gift of penetration.

The Undomestic Goddess

The Undomestic Goddess This is a book that is very different to the rest of the books on this list. The Undomestic Goddess is written by Sophie Kinsella, the author of the Shopaholic series. This book isn't emotional or anything like the others here. This is lighthearted, funny, and a quick easy read. Chick-lit books have become a necessity for me after reading a book that has left me emotional. Thanks to Sophie Kinsella and The Undomestic Goddess, I know am open to a whole genre I had never read before.

7

My Friend Leonard

My Friend Leonard This book is like a sequel to A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. I didn't have any expectations going into this book, but by the end not only was I hooked, I cried in public! You get so attached to the characters and really into the story, especially if you read A Million Little Pieces, which isn't actually a requirement for reading the sequel. Luckily they give you enough background so that if you haven't read the first book, you can still enjoy this one.

It was so hard to pick only seven books that I love! Have you read any of these? Which books do you love? Do you disagree with any of the books on this list?

I'm reading looking for Alaska right now. God I really don't know how it's going to end

My absolute favourite series is the Chaos Walking books by Patrick Ness. And of course, I also love The Hunger Games - the books are wayyyy better than the movie!

Anybody here for the Percy Jackson and the Heroes Of Olympus series?

Great picks! :)

I have a question for you, Lydia, I have an idea for an article, is there a place is can submit it, suggest it, or publish it? Thank you

Harry Potter, John Green, and Divergent!

Divergent!

The divergent trilogy are the best books ever omg

Looking for Alaska is literally my favorite book.
